Knowledge Base
The "Knowledge Base" is comprised of the following structural components:
- Modules: Each module covers one financial theme and contains many tracks (sub-sections of learning content related to the module category). Modules are generally ordered by difficulty. A progress bar is located on each Module card to indicate percent completion of the module. Progress is defined by the acquisition of “Mastery Points.” For a module to be marked as 100% complete, a user must obtain at least 1 Mastery Point (2/3 on a quiz).
- Tracks: There are multiple tracks within a modules. Tracks contain an individual lesson of a specific topic with a 3-question quiz at the end.
Mastery Points: Mastery Points are used by Vassant to determine percent completion and knowledge level acquired by the user in the “Discover” tab. +1 Mastery point is gained upon a correct quiz answer, and 1 point is lost upon an incorrect quiz answer. A score of 3/3 earns 3 Mastery points, 2/3 earns 1 Mastery point, and 1/3 and 0/3 both earn 0 Mastery Points. Mastery Points are earned individually in each track, and they can never go negative. Retaking a 3/3 lesson and performing worse does not lose your points. Vassant always keeps your best score.
Completion: The “Tracks Completed” pie chart presents a total percentage completion of all tracks. A lesson is deemed “completed” when they score at least 1 Mastery Point for that track.
